Careful when they flush the toilet!
The Grand Oasis Palm was a great place to stay and I highly recommend it. I have a couple negatives and depending on your preferences these may be negatives for you as well. That said, the positive def outweighs the negative.
Appearance was great! The pool and the beach was very spacious and relaxing. It's not the partying hotel so if you're looking for true R & R it's perfect. As a family hotel there are lots of children running around but nothing disturbing. The room was also very nice, clean and comfy. My only negative here is the shower. It seemed that whenever anyone above us or below us flushed the toilet the water was suddenly boiling and then freezing. If you're traveling with some one older or a child, you may want to assist them with taking a shower as you'll need cat-like reflexes to not get burned. We were there for 5 days on on day 3 I realized when the water was going to jump. I don't know if this is for all the rooms or just ours, but just something to keep in mind. Room service was great and everything was always brought within the 40 min. time block.
The service is my second complaint. For the most part the employees were nice but who ever answered the phone for guest services was always rude. I ordered water at 3pm and she said it'd be up right away. An hour and a half later I called and she insisted it was dropped off, I explained I never left the room and have been waiting and she snapped back, "fine, I'll see what's going on" and hung up. 30 min later the water showed up. We also ordered a wake-up call at 6am for an excursion and they called at 6:30. Thankfully it was just two of us and we got ready quick, but if this was for a family, I doubt multiple people can get ready so quickly especially when you have to jump in and out of the shower.
My last complaint was the food. The buffet is pretty small and the reservations-only restaurants had very limited options for dinner. It was all inclusive, obviously free, but it wasn't the greatest of options or flavors. Again, I was ok with it as I did not go there for food but if you're hoping for an authentic Mexican experience with amazing cuisine maybe this place is not for you. The food was average, nothing spectacular.
So besides the shower, a couple rude employees and average food, I really enjoyed my stay and would prob go again.
We planned this trip a week before and had a lovely experience. The resort was well-maintained and there were activities at all times of the day. The beach and views were beautiful and the atmosphere was relaxing and laid-back. Lots of shade and lounge areas in which to take a break from the sun. The Oasis Palm next door has a more lively atmosphere (music, etc.), so it was nice to have the option to join in the fun or just chill out.
The room, food and service was good. I recommend all-inclusive we took advantage of all bars and restaurants. Get pesos as soon as you get there, it will save you alot of money. The beach at the Grand Oasis Palm Beach was not that impressive so we went to Oasis Sens and it was amazing. With all inclusive thru Grand Oasis Palm you can go to all Oasis hotels. Overall we had a good time and Cheap carribean was great.
My sister and I flew to Cancun for a long weekend over Valentine's Day to celebrate my birthday. This package was perfect for us! I loved how easy it was to make all the arrangements necessary: flights, travel from the airport, and hotel. One of the engines on our flight out of Chicago caught fire so we were behind schedule. I called the number on our itinerary and our transportation was waiting when we arrived - 6 hours late! The resort was beautiful - the room was gorgeous. We had a view on one side to the ocean and the other to the bay. The food was delicious - we only had to wait for a table for a great meal outside. The pool was a nice way to cool off after enjoying the beach. The beach was absolutely beautiful - the water was so blue!! This was our first trip to Cancun and we will definitely go back again. The hotel was well stocked and the staff very attentive.

Grand Oasis Palm Beach has good food, drink, service, rooms, and cleanliness but is a little weak on activities and entertainment, but we didnt go there for that so it was great for us!
In short, yes. Beach is a bit crowded and you should watch out for the seaweed.
Grand Oasis Palm is a great option if the price fits you.
Oasis cancun was the cheapest of the 4, but you can use he amenities at all 4. Best bang for he buck

IS TOPLESS BATHING OKAY AT CANCUN BEACHES5 answers
2 years, 30 months ago
Since the Grand Oasis Palm is a family-friendly resort, there is a very small chance of topless bathing occurring.
Not at family resorts...or should have a separate adult area.
No. Kids and men with wild imaginations will be present
Unless you stay at an "adults only" I would say no. Most resorts are family oriented.
Not at the beach at the resort. Security will come over quick!!!
does this resort offer snorkeling?4 answers
1 year, 22 months ago
Below are the land and water sports that the Grand Oasis Palm offers. I do see that they do have rentals, but whether or not they have snorkeling gear, that is something you would have to speak with the resort about. If you would like to email the resort directly, their email is:
The resort offers guests complimentary greens fees at the 9-hole par 3 golf course located at Grand Oasis Cancun. Transportation, clubs and balls are not included. Daily, 8am-4:30pm.
Yes but limited,no coral . There was colorful fish swimming further out
The resort itself does not, but the Car rental staff gave us a great deal of info on snorkeling in Puerto Morelos - a must do! When there, visit La Playita - a seafood restaurant right on the beach. Amazing!
Oasis Runaway?2 answers
My boyfriend and I are a young couple looking to both relax and party. Grand Oasis Cancun has recently gone up in price and now Grand Oasis Palm is the more affordable resort. I know this one is family friendly but I wanted to know how close the sister resorts are and how much you can actually do with the Oasis Runaway? Oasis Cancun is cheap enough but I've read bad reviews and they all pretty much suggested not booking unless doing the "grand".
1 year, 16 months ago
Sharing privileges with its sister properties through the Oasis Runaway Program gives Grand Oasis Palm a leg up on the ordinary family getaway. Drop the kids off at the kids' club for overnight camp and go exploring!
•CLUB RUNAWAY: Oasis Hotels and Resorts offer the opportunity to visit any Oasis resort throughout your stay. Check in at the Oasis Plus desk of your resort to verify availability at the resort of your choice and receive a day pass to sample the atmosphere and culinary offerings of the sister property.
I went with my boyfriend and we had fun, this isnt the party crowd at this resort. We would stay here again and probably not at Oasis Cancun we would just visit that one. Its really easy to get there just take the bus for like 20 min. You have to go to the concierge desk and get a day pass its pretty easy. You can eat, drink etc at the other Oasis resorts during the time period allotted for the day pass, we took advantage of the runaway program. Oasis Cancun you can day party/ day drink at but the pass is from 9am-6pm so you can't be there for the night time. Its better to go to the strip where all the bars are to party like Senor Frogs, Congo Bar, CocoBongos etc.
Does the Grand Oasis Palm allow college kids on spring break?2 answers
Trying to book a couple's trip for 30-somethings and wondering if the Grand Oasis Palm would be a good fit? We like to have fun, but not too crazy! We are looking at traveling in March.
1 year, 16 months ago
No they do not allow college spring break trips at their resort; the Student/Youth Policy is listed below:
Student/Youth Travelers are defined by the resort as any guest under the age of 25 traveling without their legal parent/guardian. Please be advised that Spring Breakers and Student/Youth GROUPS between the ages of 18-24 are not accepted at this resort. This policy applies year round. If you do not adhere to the Student/Youth Policy, your reservation will be canceled and you will be notified accordingly. Resorts reserve the right to deny check-in.
Yes, there were a couple dozen college kids that were with their parents that were having fun.

If kids stay free..1 answer
how do we go about this? Do we just have to buy a separate flight plan for the kid?
1 year, 16 months ago
The resort is currently running a special that 2 kids 12 & under stay and eat free in room with 2 adults. As specials can change at any time, please feel free to contact on of our Beach Experts for further information regarding pricing inquires. Our office is open daily from 5am-3am EST and there is no additional charge for agent assistance via telephone.
I visited this hotel not worth it to stay. Find a sister location oasis cancun or grand oasis. Beaches have no waves and it close to a lago. Which makes water dirty.

What defines a youth "group"2 answers
They say "Please be advised that Spring Breakers and Student/Youth GROUPS between the ages of 18-24 are not accepted at this resort" but then go on to say that, "Travelers under the age of 25 without a legal parent/guardian will be required to purchase a Student/Youth resort fee upon check-in at the resort. Cost is $27.00 per person per stay" Would one room consisting of 4 people all over 21 but under 25 count as a group?
1 year, 15 months ago
Yes, please contact our Beach Experts for more information at 1-800-915-2322. Thank you!
No - each person pays $30.00 - not $27.00. Cash only. You will receive an orange band along with your all inclusive band. I would not recommend staying here - many other resorts

There is one night club at the hotel, which was actually a lot of fun the first night but then we went 10 mins down the road on the bus to where all of the clubs and restaurants and shopping are and had a great time every night. Senor Frogs and The City were a lot of fun. Mandala Beach Club also looked like a good time.
The disco is open daily 7pm-1 am, Terraza Cantina is open daily, 10am-1am, La Bamba Bar and daily, 10am-1am, Sushi Bar open daily, 10am-10:30pm, Beach Club Bar open daily, 10am-10:30pm, Isla Mujeres open daily, 11am-6pm.
